Requirements for the use of wire drawing machines

(1) The installation foundation of the wire drawing machine needs to be very stable to avoid vibration;

(2) During installation, it is necessary to adjust the tension axis of the wire to be symmetrical with the centerline of the mold hole, so that the stress on the wire and the pulling die is uniform;

(3) Avoid frequent starting and stopping during the pulling process, as the friction caused by the tensile stress during the pulling process is much greater than that during normal drawing, which will inevitably increase the wear of the mold.

In addition, the wire used for drawing needs to undergo pre-treatment: surface pre-treatment and heat treatment.

(1) Surface pre-treatment: For wires with dirty or heavily adhered impurities on the surface, they must be cleaned, dried, and then pulled out; For wires with a large amount of oxide skin on the surface, they need to be first refined and dried before being drawn; For wires with peeling, pits, and double skinning on the surface, they need to be polished by a polishing machine before being pulled out;

(2) Heat treatment: For wires with excessive or uneven hardness, the hardness should be reduced by annealing or tempering first, and the wire should maintain good hardness uniformity before drawing
